Elemental Lands explores the rawness of Aotearoa’s southern landscape — from the vast alpine ranges to Fiordland’s cascading waterfalls. Through thick, gestural layers of oil paint, Holly Zandbergen captures the untamed essence of place and the immediacy of the painter’s touch. Her impasto technique mirrors the land’s own textures: rugged, luminous, and alive with movement.
